We spent six weeks touring the south with our horses and Rock Bridge Canyon was our favorite! The trails were absolutely beautiful! The waterfalls, the canyons, worth seeing again and again. Sand Canyon is a must! The staff bends over backwards to make your stay exceptional. The stalls are large and the bathrooms clean. Sites 7 thru 12 are the most level for large rigs. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at this campground for 4 days. If I had known about this web site beforehand it would have saved us a lot of time and money. We will never ever go back. It started off poorly when we arrived. My friend paid cash and wasn't given a receipt. When she asked for one the owner got huffy and rude. The campsites were awful and unlevel. we had made reservations several months ahead of time. camp dogs roamed loose day and night coming into our camp, stealing food, urinating on our chairs, hay, and who knows what else. We were made to feel that as overnighters we didn't count as the majority of the camp is devoted to permanent sites. The bathroom that was available to us was a portapotty. Just awful. The trails (maintained by the forest service) are excellent. The restaurant was good but this campground is awful. Never ever again.

Sorry for the late review, I just found this web site. We have stayed at Flying R several times since they opened. They have improved each time. The campsites are big, level, and easy to get into. Pens are nice, shavings and firewood are free. The staff is super friendly and usually accommodating. The trails are nice and although they can be challenging for a novice navigator, they continue to improve. Our only disappointment is that we had reserved two sites months in advance, and when we arrived we were told that they had been given to someone else in a larger group. We were placed back in an area where there were many open sites. The larger group could have easily been put there but we were told that they cater to larger groups. The sites that had been taken away from us were closer to the bathrooms and shower house so were preferrred. Guess I'm still angry about that, but we will go back. Overall they are great people and we love their trails.

We stayed here for over a week and really hated to leave! The campground is beautiful. Loved the privacy of the bathhouse! The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. The covered stalls are very nice. We had intended to use the outdoor stalls that are included in some of the campsites but found that they were just too small for a prolonged stay. It rained quite a bit during our visit but we were still able to use the trails. The forest service has been marking trees with survey tape for who knows what, so if your follow the survey tape you may get lost. There are many side trails but if your follow the diamonds you will make some really pretty loops and be ok. We will definitely be back. We've been on the road with our horses for 5 weeks visiting different horse camps in the south and Brushy Creek Guest Ranch remains one of my favorites! Really a five star camp!
